Every person has the right to protection of their privacy as well as protection against misuse of their personal data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy and Terms of Use.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we make every effort to protect the databases as well as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification.

Applicable jurisdictions

We process personal data in accordance with the new European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 25 May 2018 and Federal Data Protection Act (FADP) of 19 June 1992 (as of 1 March 2019) and any other applicable laws relating to privacy or data protection, including any laws or regulations that amend, extend, consolidate or replace them.

Settlement of disputes

All disputes arising out of or in connection with the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, including disputes regarding their conclusion, binding effect, amendment and termination, shall be decided exclusively by the competent court in Switzerland.

Legal basis: legal claims (Art. 15 para. 3 p. 9 lit. Federal Data Protection Act (FADP) of 19 June 1992 (as of 1 March 2019). 

We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer-term retention obligations due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Security measures

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with the legal requirements, taking into account the state of the art, the implementation costs and the nature, scope, circumstances and purposes of the processing, as well as the different probabilities of occurrence and the extent of the threat to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, in order to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk.

The measures include, in particular, safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data by controlling physical and electronic access to the data as well as access to, input of, disclosure of, assurance of availability of and segregation of the data. Furthermore, we have established procedures to ensure the exercise of data subjects' rights, the deletion of data, and responses to data compromise. Furthermore, we already take the protection of personal data into account during the development or selection of hardware, software as well as procedures in accordance with the principle of data protection, through technology design and through data protection-friendly default settings.

Data retention

digitalpurpose retains personal data, as necessary, for the duration of the relevant business relationship as stated above.

We may also retain personal data for longer than the duration of the business relationship should we need to retain it to protect ourselves against legal claims, use it for analysis or historical record-keeping, or comply with our information management policies and schedules. If you request that we delete your personal data, digitalpurpose will make reasonable attempts to delete all instances of the information in their entirety. For requests for access, corrections, or deletion, please refer to the “Your Rights” section of this Privacy Policy.

Your rights under data protection laws include the right to:

  • request copies of your data; 

  • request correction of your data; 

  • request erasure of your data; 

  • object to us processing your data; and 

  • ask us to restrict the processing. 

Transmission of personal data

In the course of our processing of personal data, it may happen that the data is transferred to or disclosed to other bodies, companies, legally independent organizational units or persons. Recipients of this data may include, for example, service providers commissioned with IT tasks or providers of services and content that are integrated into a website. In such cases, we comply with the legal requirements and, in particular, conclude appropriate contracts or agreements that serve to protect your data with the recipients of your data.

Data processing in third countries

Privacy Policy for SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Data transmission security (without SSL)

As far as possible, we take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent this within our system. However, your computer is outside the security perimeter under our control. Data that you enter in online forms may be passed on to third parties for the purpose of order processing and may be viewed and possibly processed by them.

If you send us inquiries via contact form, your data from the inquiry form, including the contact information you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
